A little reshuffle

May 8th, 2007

If you arrive here and wonder ‘where has my article gone??’ don’t worry. I’ve just moved articles out of the ‘Home’ section so that the ‘about this site’ remains close to the top (scroll down a little to see it).

If you’ve come here to peruse and read, take a look a the section on the left, where all the posts have been placed.

It was suggested to me that I put my email address on the site so that people can email me with memories/photos etc that they’d like put on the site. I avoided that initially as I have an aversion to spam, and spam is often the result of publishing your email address on a publicly available site.

But, here it is, with spam-aversion techniques in place:

andy AT no-spam neverintheoffice no-spam DOT net

To get my proper email address, remove all of the no-spam bits from the address and substitute the obvious ats and dots (Duh!).

Thank you to everyone who has contributed already. Thanks

Andy

About this site

May 3rd, 2007

This site has been set up as a memorial to Chris Downham who sadly died on April 26th. He was a much loved friend, husband, father, son and brother whose humour, sensitivity and passion will be so very sorely missed. I hope this site can act as a general respository for memories, images, videos and snippets of anything about Chris, contributed by friends and family alike. Share your thoughts with everyone and keep his memory alive, as this is not just a memorial, it’s a celebration of Chris’s life.

As you will see down the left hand side, there are a number of categories. If you think of another category, or can suggest any changes or corrections, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Bear in mind that posts or articles can appear under more than one category, and I’m particularly looking forward to one that fits under all categories (although, maybe a combination that includes Childhood and Wine & Cigarettes is unlikely!)

Technical stuph: If you would like me to create you a user so that you can add your own content, just let me know, alternatively I can enter the content for you (under your name).

Now, without further ado, here’s Chris, doing what he loved best:

Chris, we miss you very much.
